A luxury bridal experience
When we were asked to do a styled shoot at a Lake House right outside of Denver, our first thought was “that exists?” Babes, it not only exists — it is STUNNING. For anyone who wants to have a Colorado Lake Wedding, this is your venue.
We loved every bit of this Colorado lake wedding venue. It is located in Greenwood Village (about 20 minutes from Downtown Denver) making it easy for guests to get to. But don’t let it’s proximity to Denver fool you: The Lake House at Pelican Bay is nestled within Cherry Creek State Park, and features gorgeous lake views, serene water, and an adorable setting.
The beautifully decorated bridal suite included cozy furniture and fun, lake-inspired wallpaper. We could immediately picture a bridal group relaxing here, getting their hair and makeup done in the bright sunlit room.
The reception area is a bright, open space with vaulted ceilings and gold fixtures. For this shoot Michele with Urban Events chose to have the tablescapes match the venue with gold elements and soft colors.
The Lake House gets even better outside. You can see the harbor and tree-lined shores from both the upper and lower deck. Boats float peacefully on the water. The shoreline ceremony site is groomed before each wedding, making the sand soft and manicured.
One dress immediately came to mind for this “boho Colorado lake wedding styled shoot”: Lilah by Daughters of Simone. This designer is the queen of Bohemian wedding dresses with crocheted lace and unique patterns for days. Lilah has scalloped crochet lace over a fit and flare bodice with a cascading crochet train. Therefore, this dress was perfect for a sweet waterside wedding.
(Added bonus: the train re-combed the sand as our stunning model walked along the shore!).
