Bridal market is one of our favorite times of the year! Visiting designers and soaking up their creativity and newest designs, all while exploring NYC, it is truly the best time. Each bridal season is filled with new and exciting designs and there are always a handful of gorgeous gowns that stop both editors and we as buyers in our tracks. At NY Bridal Market Fall 2026, one of those unforgettable dresses was the Davey dress from Daughters of Simone!
Known for their effortlessly cool, bohemian approach to bridal, Daughters of Simone has always occupied a unique and niche space in the wedding world. While many designers at bridal market leaned into dramatic ballgowns, structured corsets, and embellished details, the Davey dress offered boho romance without rigidity.
While in New York, we met with the designer behind DOS, Brittany Castaños, and her team to preview her newest collection, Moon River. The collection is filled with rich texture, beautiful laces, new silhouettes, and ultimately exudes romance. Known for more fitted silhouettes, we were so excited to see Daughters of Simone branch out into dropped waists and a-line shapes.
The dress that most caught our eye (and Vogue’s!) was Davey. A deeply romantic slub silk drop-waist wedding gown. Unique box pleat trim lines the top of the bust and back. Exposed French corded lace graces the bottom hem and the train. Finished with silk covered buttons that dot the back and add another layer of detail. The dress moves beautifully and feels so modern and vintage all at once.

Slub silk is a beautifully textured fabric that features intentional, raised bumps and irregularities (called “slubs”) on its surface. The textured surface creates a more organic aesthetic while retaining the natural luster and drape characteristic of traditional silk.
Is there a matching veil to the Davey dress?
Yes! The Diana veil goes beautifully with Davey. Diana is detailed with corded lace trim. Available in a single layer fingertip length (42″) or cathedral length (108″). Also available as a circle cut veil with 30″ blusher and two tier with 30″ blusher.
