We want you to have the best appointment possible and know that this may be a new experience for you. Here are some helpful best practices and tips to help you through wedding dress shopping and to explain more about our process:
HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
Tanning: If you are planning on getting a spray tan or using self-tanner for your appointment, please make sure to schedule this at least 72 hours before your appointment. This helps us maintain our gowns by minimizing any transfer of tanner onto our dresses. No one wants to try on a dress that is covered in someone else’s tanner!
Exercise: We recommend refraining from any exercise immediately before your bridal appointment. This helps you to not overheat during your appointment, as well as helps maintain the gowns.
Smoking: We request that you do not smoke immediately before your bridal appointment. Smoking is not allowed inside the premises.
WHAT TO WEAR
Underwear: Our one clothing requirement is that each bride wear underwear while trying on dresses for sanitary purposes. If you do not have underwear, we are happy to provide a disposable pair for your appointment.
Bra: Less is more! We recommend not wearing a bra, or opting for pasties/a sticky bra. This will help you have a better feel of what dresses will look like on you, especially if there are details on the dress around the bust or back.
Shoes: This is completely up to you and your comfort level. You are welcome to bring heels or any other shoes to try on with the dresses. The majority of our brides opt for the shoeless approach, but this is not required.
We want each of our brides to feel comfortable on every level. The majority of the items above are merely guidelines that we recommend to best show you what a wedding dress will look like on you. If you are uncomfortable with these recommendations, please do follow your comfort level. Our one requirement is that each bride wear underwear for sanitary purposes.
WHAT/WHO TO BRING
Alcohol/Food: We are located above a winery, and your first glass of wine is complimentary. However we must follow the winery’s liquor license rules, which includes no outside alcohol of any kind, including wine. Additional wine is available for purchase at the bar during or after appointments. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed. Please bring any needed utensils for serving food.
Guests: We allow up to 10 people at your appointment. If you wish to bring additional guests, there is a fee of $25 per each additional guest.
Due to being a sublease tenant in an old building, our studio can only be reached by a set of stairs. If you or someone in your group is unable to use stairs, please reach out to us and we can coordinate an alternative option for your appointment.
